Before Registration

Tuition Payment

The tuition payment notice will be sent to students' email inboxes via email in June. Please refer to the E-mail to download the Tuition Bill to pay from June 16, 2025 to June 29,2025.

Students shall make the tuition and fee payments on or before the day when each semester starts (the exact date is published in the academic calendar of the university). A student is deemed to have completed the registration process when s/he completes the tuition and fee payments. Student who fails to complete the registration process within five days (starting from the second day of the beginning of the semester) shall apply for late registration. The period of late registration shall be two weeks after the semester starts. Student who fails to complete the registration process after the late registration period ends, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the university unless s/he makes an application for and is approved to further postpone her/his payments.

Self-Health Assessment And

Health Examination

  • Self-Health Assessment:

Please go to the Academic Information Systems to complete the Self-Health Assessment. If you need special assistance due to disabilities or other special conditions, please let us know so that we may offer you support and consultation during your time of study.

  • Health Examination: Please choose one of the following options to complete the health examination after June 1st, 2025
    1. Off-campus Health Examination at Cooperative Hospital(Yeezen General Hospital)Please print out the NTHU New Students Health Exam Record and complete the information on the first page before going to the Yeezen General hospital. The fee is NT$ 810 (cash only) Please turn in the receipt of the health examination of Yeezen General Hospital.
    2. Off-campus Health Examination at non-Cooperative Hospital in Taiwan
  • Please print out the NTHU New Students Health Exam Record and bring it to the hospital for health examination.
  • Go to district level or above hospitals to complete the examination. Fees vary depending on the hospital.
  • This report must be done after June 1st, 2025, all examination items must be identical to the items on the NTHU New Students Health Exam Record. Please turn in the original copy of health examination report to the Office of the Master Program in Waldorf Education.

Those who fail to complete the health examination and could not complete the registration should take full responsibility for themselves.

If applying for the leave of absence on registration day: students can be exempted from doing health examination. However, when applying for resuming studies, the student should complete and turn in health examination report to the office of the Master Program in Waldorf Education.

Medical and Injury Insurance

According to Article 22 of the Ministry of Education's Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan, new students are required to submit the proof of medical and injury insurance, valid for at least six months from the date of entry, at the time of registration. This proof must be authenticated by the Taipei representative office in your country.

Please submit the relevant insurance documents and authentication materials on July 17.

Students have to submit the original notarized diploma and transcripts of your bachelor/master degree on the registration day.

Please bring the following documents to the program office for registration on July 17:

  • New Graduate Student Registration Procedures (as attached below)
  • Academic credentials
  • Proof of medical and injury insurance (including authentication documents)
  • Health examination documents

If the academic credentials have been submitted and the health examination has been completed, the new student registration process will be considered as complete.
Student ID cards will be handed over by the Registration Division to the office of the Master Program for further distribution after September, and students will be separately notified regarding collection or mailing details.

Library

Graduate students who have completed registration and submitted either the original graduation certificate or a declaration form by August 31 of the current year may use library services under the status of "prospective graduate student." Prospective graduate students may enter the university library and borrow books with a Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), R.O.C(Taiwan). If you do not have the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), you will have to submit one photo and pay a processing fee of NT$200 to obtain a "Temporary Library Card for Prospective Graduate Students" to access library services.

After completing your registration and obtaining your student ID, please visit the library website to sign the statement of patron's privileges. After completing the online New Student Enrollment, please link to the website of Academic Information System to upload your photo & Passport file by Aug. 7 for NTHU Student ID card application (in color, above 236*295 pixels, JPG file).

After Registration

Input Bank Account information

  1. After completing the online New Student Enrollment, please proceed to the Academic Information Systems to input your bank account for only E.SUN Commercial Bank, Mega International Commercial Bank, or the Post Office. This will enable us to transfer scholarship, fellowship, dormitory deposit, etc. to you when necessary.   2. If you do not need the services that must be processed through the designated bank by the university, such as scholarships or fellowships, please disregard this step for now.

New Student Course Selection Period

Notice

  1. School starts from Thursday, July 17.
  2. Registration procedures should be completed on the registration day. If you do not register on time, we will reject your registration unless you apply for late registration, permitted by the Division of Registration.
  3. You may apply for one-year/semester admission deferral before August 30 with reasonable reasons or special conditions.
  4. Please do not pay your tuition if you apply for admission deferral, leave of absence or withdrawn before the registration day. You have to pay for your tuition if you apply for admission deferral, leave of absence or withdrawn after the registration day and the tuition fee will be refunded to you by percentage according to related regulations. Be sure to keep your tuition receipt for record.
  5. You should take at least one course. You will be dropped out if the Division of Curriculum approve you fail to take any course after the Add-and-Drop Course Selection. In accordance with the Regulations 10, Students shall make the tuition, miscellaneous and related fee payments on or before the day when each semester starts (the exact date is published in the academic calendar of the university). A student is deemed to have completed the registration process when s/he completes the tuition, miscellaneous and related fee payments. Student who fails to complete the registration process within five days (starting from the second day of the beginning of the semester) shall apply for late registration. The period of late registration is up to two weeks after the semester starts. Student who fails to complete the registration process after the late registration period ends, shall be expelled from the university unless s/he makes an application for and is approved to further extension due to special reason. After the semester starts, if you need to take leave from class, please submit leave requests through the student leave system.
  6. In accordance with the Regulations 37, Students applying for double registration shall submit their application to their associated department or degree program prior to the start of the semester when the double registration will take effect. Once approved, said students will be eligible for double registration. Current students who have not received approval for double registration but who have been found to have registered at multiple institutions shall be dismissed unless said students have received retroactive approval from their department or degree program. Alumni who have been found to have registered at multiple institutions without approval will be stripped of their NTHU degree(s) and asked to return their diploma, which will be revoked in a public notice. The review criteria for double registration shall be determined by each department and degree program.
