【Being·華德福】在變動世界中形塑教育:清華華德福的跨界視野

Dr. Martyn Rawson著有"The Educational Tasks and Content of the Steiner Waldorf Curriculum",也就是俗稱的「黃皮書」的作者。目前任教於德國斯圖加特自由學院,為該校與本碩士班進行國際合作教學的教授之一,並於本碩士班開授「全球化世界中的自然與經濟」及「華德福教育引導研究」課程,是一路陪伴華德福碩士班成長茁壯的國外教授之一。近日Dr. Rawson與我們分享了他對於清華華德福碩士班的看法:
「Waldorf education in Taiwan combines international perspectives on contemporary education with traditional Chinese values, philosophy and art.The faculty reflects this blend with well-known academics from the international Waldorf academic community and experienced Taiwan colleagues with roots in Waldorf education and progressive education.The programme combines cutting edge educational theory with educational practice both of which focus on the developing human being along with transformational artistic practices.Education today has to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world of work, the digital revolution, a multilateral geo-political structures and tension and fluid global cultural hybridisation.
Many educational approaches today are one-dimensional, focusing on knowledge reproduction and standardization in a competitive environment.However, what the world needs is capable, open-minded, self- confident young people for whom traditional values are as important as world-open cosmopolitanism and personal choice of life-style.Waldorf education aims to provide students with opportunities to develop their agency and powers of judgement as well as equipping them with resilience.」
